“Loved by God we (1 John 4:10) Gather in friendship, (Acts 2:46-47) Grow in faith, and (Ephesians 4:15) Serve as the hands and voice of Jesus in the world.” (Matthew 25:40, 28:19-20)
St. James Lutheran Church is to affirm and give faithful witness to God’s love for the world through Jesus Christ. Led by the Holy Spirit, we will be a community gathered around God’s Word and the sacraments. Empowered by faith, we will be a community of welcome, which experiences the tangible presence of God through transformed lives that serve the community and the world in the name of Jesus.
Our Core Values
The values of a congregation include both actual and aspirational values. By this we mean the values evidenced by the congregation’s current ministry as well as the desired ministry of its people in light of the gospel. These are:
- Biblical Preaching and Teaching
- Worship and the Word
- Friendship and Sacrament
- Family and Children
